Workshops and meetings with individual sector user groups within the JANET community will be held as required. Details of previous events are provided below.
On 5th and 6th of November 2003, JANET(UK) held an invitation only event as apart of the requirements gathering process. The event was attended by representatives from the UK academic research sector. The event started with presentations from JANET(UK) staff on architectural and technical options which may be available for SuperJANET5, particularly focusing on areas which are expected to be of most relevance to the needs of research (including network research) and e-Science. This was followed by discussion on the e-science and research requirements in the context of the options presented. Copies of the workshop slides are available.
