Research & JANET Monitoring

JANET(UK) publishes certain types of data for researchers and other to use. The data is gathered from various systems and is provided on a best effort basis. Prior to use, the data should be verified by the user.

A description of the available data can be found below. If there are other data that would be beneficial to you, please contact Steve Williams at the address at the bottom of the page.

• JANET Utilization data
  Five minute utilization data on the JANET backbone and Regional Network access links. See an animation of a day of backbone data
• BGP peering
  It is possible to peer with JANET in order to receive a full BGP feed.
• ISIS topology
  A diagram outlining the ISIS weights in the backbone is available
• Flow Data
  See the section on flow-data for an update on progress in this area. It is not currently possible to make flow data available, however, if you have a specific requirement please contact Steve Williams.
