JANET(UK) is in the process of upgrading the JANET measurement system known as JANET Netsight. This gathers data on the availability of JANET Connected Organisations and graphs it for viewing on a web page. The new system will enhance the features available, provide more granular measurements and allow flexibility to add additional measurements as and when required.
Tessella has been appointed through a Catalist procurement to undertake the a detailed Requirements Analysis, system design and to build the new JANET Netsight architecture.
The Requirements' Analysis was completed in April and contracts were signed at the beginning of May to allow the system build to commence. The full system will be in place by the end of 2007 with testing and roll-out taking place during Q4/2007.
More detailed information will be provided as it becomes available.
