Personal and Community Development PCDL

Previously referred to as Adult & Community Learning (ACL).

Links on the right hand side shortcut menu provide easy access to areas of particular interest to the PCDL community.

The LSC has funded JANET connectivity and Services for PCDL to Local Authorities. Over half of the directly providing authorities have taken a JANET primary connection for this purpose.

Connectivity is funded to provide a 4M over 10M circuit to the authority for use by PCDL. Upgrades to the bandwidth and extended use for all Council traffic can be obtained for the marginal increase in circuit costs plus payment of the JANET tariff.

Services included as part of the PCDL offering are web hosting, web mail and web filtering in additional to the normal services package.

Several case studies Buckinghamshire County Council and Thurrock Adult Community College are available and more are in preparation.
